Green did not actually have the lights turned low, but since Janine said she was coming over, he figured now might be a good time to, uh, make sure she didn't think he was a liar or something.
But first he had to find some candles.
Half an hour later, he found them. He turned off the lights and began to light each one, humming under his breath. Then he turned-and nearly ran into Janine.
"Wha-Janine?!" he yelped, stepping back and bracing himself against the table. Knocking over the candles would be...bad. "What the-how did you get in here?"
