While watching an exorcist show on TLC i thought could it be that these so called possessed people are really just depressed, self-mutilative, or having a psycotic break down. Exorcisms should be banned, and illegal. They are more detrimental to someone's mental status and can worsen a psyoctic state or make someone even more prone to be depressed

I agree, especially people in a state of psychosis, religious aggression is probably the worst thing you could put them through, considering they need more grounding, rather than faith at the moment. That is a good statement. It really is interesting, if you look at patient's symptoms, they show symptoms of a person in a severe psychosis. Treatment of psychosis is much different from an exorcism. :/
