Chapter 2

Junsu watches his co-worker make his away across the cafe, a tray of food held infront of him in a death grip. He sets the tray down as he reaches the table, mindful of their drinks, before he plops down into one of the seats opposite Junsu.

"Chansung, How much food did you get?"

The tall boy stares back at him blankly for a moment before beginning to set the food out on the table before them, seperating them into what Junsu presumed the tall boy considered groups. Junsu counted three sandwiches, a small plate of sushi, a muffin, two cookies, two bananas and an apple. He can't help but think there was more than enough food for three people. Junsu just shook his head and poked at the sandwich packaging as he read the fillings. He quickly withdrew his finger after a few seconds, convinced the younger boy would mistake it for food.

"So this train guy, what's the deal? It's been like a month and you still don't know his name"

Chansung reaches for the nearest sandwich and tears it open before continuing.

"Plus, I heard this rumour going around at work"

The boy crams half a sandwich into his mouth, smears tuna mayo across his cheek in the process. He locks brown eyes onto his older friend and Junsu can't think of a reply, is too distracted with thoughts of the boy from the train and fighting the urge to wipe the food from his friend's cheek. He settles for pulling his scarf tighter around his chin and cocks an eyebrow at his friend.

"So, you know Siwon, the guy that's always spanking people? I heard he likes you. He seems like a nice enough guy"

That pushes the boy from the train out of his head. Siwon? Ewww. He watches, horrified as Chansung devours the second half of his  sandwich and reaches for the sushi before he's even finished chewing. The younger man grins innocently, a piece of sweetcorn in his teeth. Junsu looks away.

"Eww, Chan"

Junsu glances back moments later and Chansung has already eaten most of the sushi. He wonders for a moment why he chose to eat dinner with his co-worker on a saturday and realises that he doesn't really want to know.

"That guy has an ass fetish and he looks greasy when he gels his hair back... Plus I heard that there's something starting between him and that Chinese guy in marketing, Hangun or something like that"

Chansung nods along in agreement but perks slightly as the new gossip. By lunchtime Monday he'll have all the details. He reaches for the next sandwich and opens up the packaging without looking to see what it is. It takes precisely five seconds for him to smudge mustard above his upper lip and mix with it with the mayonaise on his cheek.

"So what's so special about this guy on the train that's got you all.. so... blargh"

Chansung gestures towards his friend, flails his arms a little then takes another bite.

Junsu understands what he's getting at, vaguely. He had the attention of a magpie, eyes drawn to random boys who looked similar to the other. Even now in the cafe he was conscious of it, could feel his eyes drawn to men passing by the window a few tables away.

"He looks like Ra‌in, but he's better looking, more real, I suppose and his ass is amazing. I feel like a kid again"

Junsu blushes and tugs at his scarf again. It's a silly thing to say, he's only 22, but he feels older most of the time. He supposes it's because he lives alone, has done since he was 18 and he went straight into work after leaving school, not even getting to enjoy one last summer holiday. He reaches forwards and peels the sticker off the apple, keeps his fingers busy.

"He's a dancer too, really small eyes and big lips and his smile is contagious"

Junsu continues to play with the sticker, folds it in half and twists is around. Presses the ends together and folds it again. Chansung finishes the final sandwich and reaches for a banana. Slowly peeling the skin away as he tries to think about what he'll say next.

Junsu pretends not to notice.

"What if he's a crazy stalker or a jerk?"

Junsu frowns, glances down and pulls the scarf over his nose for a few moments. The thought has passed his mind, he'd be stupid not to have wondered about it but he pushed it away everytime. He can't believe that the boy is a jerk, or that he'd be cruel. He'd called in a favour to get Junsu a taxi home, and the taxi driver he called Taecyeon was a nice enough guy too. He'd not charged Junsu for his fair. Plus the boy had given him his hat, despite the possibility that they'd never meet again.

"He was beautiful Chansung"

Junsu's too wrapped up in his thoughts to notice Chansung wave to a dark haired boy who enters the cafe as the younger man shoves the cupcake part way into his mouth. He doesn't notice anything till his chest clenches at the thought of never seeing him. Chansung takes a loud slurp of his coffee and Junsu frowns, tugging his scarf down to speak.

"Who's beautiful?"

He doesn't need to turn to know who said it, to know who it is that makes his chest squeeze even tighter around his heart. The boy flops into a seat between them and swims into Junsu's peripheral vision. He swallows the lump in his throat as the boy mutters something to Chansung and gestures towards his cheek.

"Rain, he thinks Rain is hot but he's seen this guy that looks just like him or something"

Chansung replies, oblivious.

That's the point where Junsu decides he wants to explode or suddenly turn invisible.

The boy flashes him a smile, the same glittering one he's shown before but Junsu's already seen the sparkle of mischief in his eyes. He prays to the gods that the boy has forgotten that Junsu said he looked like Rain but clearly fate is against him as the boy quirks a brow and the sparkle gleams a bit more in his brown eyes.

"Do you two know each other?"

Chansung looks between the two, realises he's missing something and Junsu can see it like a neon sign that's about to die. His eyes are trained on the dark haired dancer who matches his smile and for a little while Junsu feels like a kid again, sharing a silly secret with his best friend that everyone knows but probably isn't thinking of. 'The sky's blue' It's silly really.

"We've met once or twice on the train" The other boy trains his eyes to Junsu's, holds his gaze for a few long moments then turns to Chansung. Junsu's eyes follow and they watch for a moment as Chansung blinks, glances between them and it clicks, the dots connecting. The youngest boy's face lights up a little as if he's a boy genius and he's been let in on the secret.

"Hyungs, I'm hungry"

Junsu watches his co-worker stand up and make his way over to the counter before glancing back to the pile of food infront of them. The younger male follows his gaze and doesn't look surprised, just mutters 'pig' under his breath and makes a quick attempt to tidy the pile.

Junsu's stomach flips again, chest squeezes a little and he's left completely alone with the handsome boy for a little longer. He adjusts his scarf, straightens the ends and pulls it to sit below his lip before finally finding the other boy's eyes. The boy casually runs his tongue over his lower lip in response and Junsu loses the question on his tongue. The boy shifts in his seat and moves to face Junsu as he slings an arm over the back of his chair and shifts forward, his knee bumping Junsu's thighs. Junsu bites his lip as the other boy places a hand on his knee, curls his fingers so they brush the inside of his thigh and he fails to keep the blush from reaching his cheeks.

"My name is Junho"

His breath is warm against Junsu's throat and he forgets his own name.

The boy lingers for a moment, the smell of sweat and musk making Junsu's head swim  as the boy lets his breath ghost over Junsu's ear and pulls away completely. Junsu laughs, awkward and strangled and tugs at his scarf, suddenly way too hot and flustered. He can feel the boy staring at him, gaze mentally burning holes into his clothes to undress him and the hair prickles at Junsu's nape.

"Junsu, I couldn't remember what you drink so I just got you a vanilla latte, is that alright?"

Chansung sets down another tray on the table, a new pile of sweets ready to be devoured.

He places a mug infront of Junho and a paper cup infront of Junsu who knows there's a good reason for this but can't actually remember why. Chansung puts his own mug on the table and begins piling up the food and litter into seperate piles.

"You have a meeting in half an hour"

Chansung trails off, staring at him imploringly and Junsu remembers. He's terminating his contract today. He'll find a new manager, hopefully one who will actually get him an audition. Junsu's been waiting far too long and even one audition would be a big step after the last year and a half of missed chances.

"I better get a move on then " He chuckles and scrambles to his feet, almost knocking over

his drink in the process. He shrugs into his jacket, missing the silent plea for help that Junho sends Chansung. The boy shrugs back as Junsu pulls his bag over his shoulder and turns to them.

He moves to hug Chansung first, the taller boy wrapping one arm around his shoulders and presses his face to Junsu's shoulder. The boy squeezes, nearly cuts off Junsu's breathing and snaps his jaw as if to bite him as they pull away making his Hyung's laugh. Junsu's glad to be wearing a thick jacket, anything thinner and the other would have bitten him.

He turns to Junho then, not sure what to say or do because he's only met the boy a handful of times and he thinks a handshake would be too careless. There's a flash of sadness in the boy's eyes but it goes as quickly as it came and Junho's already reaching out for him so Junsu doesn't have to think any more.

Thick arms curl around his neck as the boy presses up against him, cheek to cheek. Junsu wraps his arms around the other on instinct and breathes in musk and sweat. He's aware that they're in the middle of a restaurant, that Chansung, the gossiper, is sat across the table but he doesn't really care because Junho isn't pulling back.

Junho chuckles, a low rumble in the back of his throat that finds it's way straight to Junsu's ear and the older male is about to melt. There's a chuckle across the table that distracts him for a split second and Junho is suddenly pressing their bodies flush together and then he's gone completely.

It takes Junsu a few seconds to recover his wits and he realises why his face feels suddenly colder.

Junho smirks up at him from his seat, Junsu's favourite black scarf wrapped loosely around his neck. The boy licks his lip again, tilts his head back ever so slightly and Junsu glances away, fighting another blush.

"You can have it back when you return my hat"

The boy smiles playfully but there's something in his eyes and Junsu knows now that there will be a next time. He can wait a while, he's got plenty of scarves. Junsu says his goodbyes then and leaves for his meeting, psyching himself up.

He pauses once he's outside and digs around in his bag before he finds the flash of green he's been looking for. He carefully pulls the hat out of his bag with one hand before securing Junho's borrowed hat over his own brown hair. Maybe he can live without that scarf for a little while.
