"Thank you for your time, sir” Hyunseung clicks a button and lets out a heavy sigh as he hangs up the call for another disgruntled accountant. Picking up his pen he goes back to doodling on his paper as the automatic dial tone filters through his headset. He traces the outline of a plump rabbit, thickening the red inky lines of its long ears and fluffy cotton-tail. The silly drawing he’s been working on all shift is slowly taking the shape of a rather handsome little rabbit. He pays little attention to the not-so-subtle glances of the male next to him.
“Good Afternoon. My name is Jang Hyunseung and I’m calling on behalf of KTM-BMRB, an independent research company. I was wondering if I could speak to-“ He tears a small section from the paper and uses it to cover the time in the lower right hand corner of his screen. “The person who would be responsible for dealing with tax returns and other financial matters on behalf of clients?” There’s half an hour left but the entire afternoon has been slowly dragging. He’d bumped into an old friend last night - Jiyong-Hyung, and the elder man had dragged him to the nearest bar. He’d fallen into bed at 4am and managed just two hours of sleep.
There’s a murmur on the other line and he finds himself put on hold. The male beside him rips a strip from the bottom of his own sheet of scrap paper, the sound drawing Hyunseung’s attention. He glances at the other’s slender hands and up to his profile, the pouty lips and defined cheekbones. He looks back to his screen as the phone line clicks and it’s the receptionist again. She can’t put him through. “Is there a better time that I can call back?” A slender hand stretches out and a piece of paper is placed over the space bar of Hyunseung’s keyboard.
He ends the call as politely as he can and nudges the paper off his keyboard as he types in the coding to set up an appointment to call back. Next Friday. 9:25AM. He clicks enter, satisfied when the prompt comes up to start the automatic dialler again and turns his attention to the scrap of paper.
Shift is almost over :D.
He finds himself smiling as he looks to the man beside him. Brown eyes and a smirk greet him. “Good Afternoon. My name is Yong Junhyung and I’m calling on behalf of KTM-BMRB…”
Suddenly his afternoon doesn’t seem so bad...

Notes: Some of you will know I started my new job this week. I was sat next to a cute boy today with blonde hair and he looked a little depressed and covered the time on his screen so I threw him a note. Maybe I was trying to subtly flirt with the boy... I got his attention and a conversation :D
