Closing doors, opening windows and new opportunities

Well, today I got the news that the publisher has decided against publishing my novel, because for they next season they'd keep their focus on a different theme. I cannot say I am totally struck down by that, as it was a long shot anyway, since the script is yet rudimentary. I am still confident there will be other opportunities.

Indeed there will be many other opportunities, I am positive of that! At the same time, I am sorry this particular one didn't work out as hoped. However, I am happy to read you remain confident, as anyone with your talent, skills, etc., should. :)

For me,the most important part of your news is contained in the second paragraph. Your emergence from an exceptionally trying time despite health issues, and sporting a new job, is something to be proud of, and cause for celebration in my book. :)
