At least 10 previously unwatched movies a month in 2010 2011 2012 2014 2015. Feel free to recommend movies, I'd really love it. (No film school stuff though, got those pretty much down pat because I studied film at uni. No "The Ring"esque horror films too. Just, no.) Anything that struck a chord, in any language, and ( Read more... )

Why haven't I done this before! Now I want to know the movies I've watched per month since 2007.

Start now, list even those you remember from this year. It's actually pretty rewarding to see all the films you've watched in a list. (You can also your emotional trajectory per month, somehow?)

:)

This is a really cool idea! Allow me to please copy this post

May I recommend Black Snake Moan? Its a movie I really like, yet cannot truly explain the reason why. Its just a strange tale that in end moved me.

eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
hellboy 1 and 2
the imaginarium of doctor parnassus (i REALLY liked this one, it's kinda weird though)

So I felt like I commented on this before but I guess I didn't??? I need to start doing this!! I just finished my film degree and have been lagging behind in watching things in favor of watching jdrama (NATSU NO KOI!) XD

Like Schindler's List. I've still never seen Schindler's List, but I've seen every episode of Stand Up!! twice. How can I call myself a human. Goooodddd.

I'm stealing some of your recs!! KTHNX

Don't fret, I still have 25 movies to go before this year ends (which there is, like, just a couple of weeks, more or less, remaining of it) so that I can complete the 120 films in a year plan that I set out to do! I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S DO-ABLE AT THIS STAGE, BUT HEY I TRIED XD (And yes, I also blame jdramas for my lagging behind! Natsuniji was beautifoooool)

Schindler's List and Stand Up! are both masterpieces in their own right, so don't feel too bad. HAHA OMFG HOW BLASPHEMOUS. But whatevs. The sheer awesomeness and watchability of Stand Up! is hard to resist! I don't blame thee

No problemo!

YOU CAN DO IT!! JUST TURN OFF THE INTERNET AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT REWATCH NATSUNIJI (YET...)!!

I was totally going to continue with some more comparisons b/t Schindler's List and Stand Up! but caught myself in the last minute! I'm just saying, more than one of them deserves an Oscar XD

That's a nice list! :) Totally gonna snag some movie ideas :)

As for recommends, I'd just name a couple of random ones, though you might have seen them :)
- Flipped (don't even remember the story properly, but it was sweet)
- Pillow Talk (an old Hollywood comedy, 1950s, I think)
- The Reader (if you haven't seen it before, Kate Winslet's acting is spectacular!)

J-wise:
- Kokuhaku (scary but amazing)
- Tokyo shoujo (lovely story about love on the distance of 100 years)

This might be the LATEST reply in the history of EVER, and I apologize! Totally snagging all your movie recs except for The Reader, which I've already seen. (And IA, Kate Winslet was amazing in that film. She broke my heart.)

Again my apologies for my incredible tardiness ♥ :3

Awwww ♥ No apologies, ok? :)

Gonna have a look at your list again since I recently went through the whole don't-want-to-watch-anything streak and I'd appreciate some fresh ideas.

I have a handful of new recommends, so I can share. Feel free to nudge me :)

Okay then! :) (But you can't blame me for feeling sheepish about replying more than a year after lol)

I'm actually going through a film rut as well; more like I don't know what's good to watch and I'm lazy to expend effort to search them out. Boo me, I know. SO YES, NUDGING YOU FOR NEW RECS ♥
