I really want to tell you that I love you. I want you to be mine. I want you to know that I really want to say to you that you’re the only one I love. The one that can make happy. The one make me nervous. Make me smile. Make me have mixed feelings. You’re my everything.
There’s a fireworks show tonight. I want to invite him to a date and watch the fireworks together. He’s just sitting there, alone, watching his favorite show on the television. I approach him and sit next to him.
“Ne, Kei.” “What is it, Yabu?” He turn to me and show his sweet smile. “There’s a fireworks show tonight. Do you want to go with me?” His eyes widen and his smile get even brighter. “Eh, really?! I want to go!” His face tell me how excited he is. I smile to him and that’s how my plan work.
That night, we walk together to any place where the fireworks can be seen. When we find a comfortable spot, we sit there and wait for the fireworks show to begin. It feels kinda awkward and none of us try to start the conversation.
Inoo’s phone rings and break the silence. He pick it up and I just look at him. “Hello. Hikka? What is it?” The way he call Hikaru’s name echo in my head. Hikaru had been my rival since the first time I meet Inoo. But we act like normal and fake our relationship.
“Well, right now I’m with Yabu. We’re waiting for the fireworks show to start.” What does he want? Don’t he dare to ruin our times alone. “Ne, Yabu. Is it okay if Hikka join us?” “Eh? Let me talk with him, first.” Inoo pass his phone to me and I walk away.
“Hikaru, please let us spend our time together. I’ve let you have Inoo yesterday, didn’t I?” “Are you intending to confess to him tonight?” “Well, it depend on the atmosphere around us. But, why should you care?!” “*sigh* I think this is the perfect time to tell you.” “What is it?”
“Actually, I got rejected by him long time ago.” “Eh?” “I confessed to him and he rejected me instantly. He said there’s someone else he like.” “He rejected you? Hah! Serve you right!” “Yes, I know. Good luck on chasing him. Just hope that he already give up on that someone or the one he like is you.” “I don’t need your encouragement.” “Yeah.”
“So you won’t come here, right?” “Yeah. Go on. Spend your time together and make some sweet memories.” “I can’t believe I’m saying this but thanks, Hikaru.” “It’s nothing.” “I’m gonna hang up. Bye bye.” “Bye.” I turn around and look at Inoo, who is already asleep. I giggle and walk to him. “Kei, wake up.”
He move a little but doesn’t wake up. Should I take the chance? It’s not bad, right? I lean closer to his face and make sure that he already asleep. “Kei.” I whisper his name before peck his forehead. I put the phone beside his head and look at the sky. There quite a lot of stars tonight.
I stare into the sky and without I realize, the person next to me, who I thought is sleeping, stare at me deeply. He pull my left hand which is on the grass and hold it. I look at him and shock to see the tears on his face. “Kei, why are you crying?” I panic when he’s sobbing hardly. He sit up and lean his head on my shoulder. “Yabu…” I wipe his tears and pat his head. “What is it, Kei?” He continue to sob and doesn’t answer my question.
“Kei, look at me.” He lift his head and look up at me. I wipe his tears and whisper the three magical words. “Kei, I love you.” He look shock and he cry harder. “Kei, please stop crying.” “Do you know how long I have been waiting?” “Eh? Waiting for what?”
“I know that you like me so I just wait for you to confess to me. But, you never did it.” “Eh?! You know?” “Hikka told me.” “What?! When did he told you?” “When we were still Jr., he… *hiccup* confessed to me and I rejected him telling him that I like someone else,… *sniff* although that was just an excuse. Then, he… *hiccup* told me that you like me. Since then, I have been watching at you all the time and got attracted to you.”
“You have been watching at me all the time?” “Un. I got… *sniff* really happy when I know that we will debut in the same group. I got really scared if you debut first and forget about me.” He continue to cry and he can’t even utter his words properly. I laugh hearing to his explainations. “Why are you laughing?!”
“Is that your way to confess and reply my love?” Inoo lean his head on my shoulder and inhale deeply. “I really love you, Kei. Don’t worry. My feeling for you won’t change because you’re the only one I love. I can’t live without you by my side.” “Me too.” I grab his right hand and put it onto my chest. “Listen to my heart. I can be the one for you until the end of time.” I whisper slowly and receive a beautiful wide smile from him. The fireworks show start but we don’t even bother to watch it.
I lean closer and crash our lips together. It feels so good and I don’t want to break the kiss. “Ya-bu… I can’t brea-th…” Inoo push my chest a little. I break the kiss and the two of us catch our breath. “That was my first.” Inoo whisper slowly but I still can hear it. I hold his hand and look at his eyes deeply. “That was my first, too.” I whisper to his ear slowly.
I look at the fireworks and smile. “The fireworks are really beautiful.” Inoo look at them and I turn to him. His smile sure is beautiful. I won’t get enough of it. “But, you’re more beautiful, Kei. Maybe the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.” He turn to me and I can see he blush before he look down.
“Don’t hide your beautiful face from me.” I lift his head and kiss him. He circle his arms around my neck and deepen the kiss. I don’t know how long have passed but the kiss feels so passionate. “Mmf… Kou…” He break the kiss and look into my eyes.” “Can I call you ‘Kou’?” “Go on. Just call me what you want. You can call me ‘darling’…” I hold his hand before continue what I want to say. “Or maybe ‘honey’. As long you can express your feelings to me.”
We gaze into each other eyes and without we realize, the fireworks show already stop. “Ah, the fireworks stop.” He turn to his left and pout. “Stop pouting. We can watch it some other time again.” “Yeah, you’re right. Let’s go some other time, just the two of us.” We smile to each other before I point my finger to the sky.
“Kei, look. Do you believe me if I say that the stars are closing their eyes?” “No.” “You don’t believe it? They’re closing their eyes because they want us to have our private time.” “Yeah right. Like I will believe that.”
“Fine, my princess.” I peck his left cheek and he pout cutely. “Stop pouting.” I touch his lips softly and he smile. “Ne, Kou.” He call my name slowly and turn his face to me. “Hmm?” He come closer and close the gaps between us. He circles his hand around my neck and put his head on my shoulder.
“I’m really glad that you still like me and brave enough to confess your love to me.” My shoulder feel wet once again. “You really love to cry, huh?” He shake his head slowly, still on my shoulder. “It will be difficult if I have a crybaby as my lover.” I say jokingly. He hit my chest roughly without removing his head.
“It hurts! It will be bad too, if I have a rough lover like this.” He keep silent. “Nah. I’m joking. Don’t be sad. Even if you a crybaby or a rough guy, I still love you.” I lift his head and gaze into his eyes deeply. “I really love you.” I kiss his forehead and go down and peck on his cheek before kiss his pink lips.
“I love you too.” He says between the kiss. We break the kiss when we feel the air is needed. I wipe his never-ending tears before stand up. “Let’s go. They will be worry if we stay here any longer.” “Carry me.” He plead cutely. “Anything for you, my cute princess.” I bend down and carry him in bridal style.
He circle his arms around my neck and giggle cutely. “What is it?” “You’re really a gentleman, Kou.” “Really? Only for you, my beautiful Kei.” He giggle again and peck my right cheek. Along the way, I realize that he asleep while mumbling something. I don’t understand it so I just ignore it.
