In the spirit of continuously improving myself, I have a question for you. Much in the same way I wonder now and again if I have lettuce in my teeth, I want to ask you for your thoughts (I'm alarmingly oblivious at times, and it's certainly possible I've never noticed an annoying character trait of mine). Please, if you have the time, post a reply ( Read more... )

This post is shitty, deep down you know what people think of you and you know what you think of yourself, and deeper down you know none of that shit matters, ergo this post is moot.

Don't get caught up in "the now" + stop worrying so much, you're smart and you will live a successful life. Don't kiss ass, kick ass.

Stef - You need to smile more =P

As for "Don't get caught in the now" - What's your suggestion for placing yourself? The now is the only place to be. I would say don't allow yourself to get bogged down in any of the shitstorms that may come your way, but focus on enjoying the now and the beauty that fills your life, with an open eye towards the future and the endless possibilities it contains.

Balance, my friend. Don't view life from the now or only looking at tomorrow, the only way to look at life correctly is by taking a step back. We're saying the same thing.

I, unfortunately, never got the chance to get to know you, as right after we met online, several events occurred and I was sidetracked. So I don't feel I can really provide any helpful insight. :-(

I really identify with the idea behind this post though -- I'm often wondering what people's perceptions are of me, since although I try to be aware of what I look like to others, I'm notoriously bad at getting certain things wrong. It's so hard to get helpful feedback from people.

Do you ever stop thinking for a little while and have fun?

In much of a similar line to previous comments, I just haven't seen you a lot lately and thus have lost much contact (mind you, I too am to blame). Though I do suppose from my experiences from before, I'd say never lose your childhood innocence.

I guess it goes along with all that balance stuff from before.
