Sitting on a two-high stack of plastic boxes, Christine waited. She'd just had her last morning in the on-grounds apartment she'd moved into when she'd graduated from the Starfleet nursing program, and she hadn't even really spent it there. She woke up in the place that would be her new residence, covered a half-shift at the clinic, and came back here around noon to finish packing and wait for the end of Spock's lab class.
And that was that.
While she'd been humming cheerily as she worked, she was nervous. She'd never lived with anybody before, not in the domestic partnership sense. True, she'd spent most of the time she'd been with Roger sleeping next to him every night, but their cohabitation had never been official. Christine and Spock's was going to be. And, yeah, maybe she was still hurting enough from her first broken heart to be dreading the day this relationships ended, but she knew there was nothing quite like the feeling she felt with Spock. That meant that the eventual hurt was worth it, just for that feeling.
