It's so annoying because you know that if ANY of the first-gen Pokemon came out today instead, they'd get flamed. "Squirtle? What, it's JUST a blue turtle? They couldn't have done anything else with that

Exactly! Maybe I am a little too much this way, but I try to look for the good in everything, instead of panicking or complaining that something isn't the way it was or how I used to like it; and it applies to Pokemon too! It has grown and expanded with me, and that's why I love it. I guess Pokemon and things like that just don't mean the same thing to them, or something.

(Not that I'm calling Pokemon anything more than it is, because I don't want to seem like a freak, but it is really something I have had my whole life XD.....)

I just want to point out that you made two fatal mistakes here:

First, you argued with someone on the internet Dx start an argument on the internets and you can't expect anything but hater-ism right?

And second if you read this "overall-stupid like you and the rest of the pokemon fanbase seem to try to make it out as. " wrong it sounds like you are insulting her, which I think she didn't take the time to realize was not actually insulting her and thus took offense xD

BUT SERIOUSLY, if all the fakemon or whatever suddenly became official people would complaining about their designs being stupid and if the original 150 were rereleased people would complain about their design being stupid and ah, HATERS GONNA HATE. Darn haters.

Although I must say I love Hitmonlee, why did you pick him T___T Can we pick on Jinx instead?

And I think they really are doing generally quite well with the designs for this generation, so when a weaker design like Emonga springs up people will instinctively pounce on it in a hate-fest.
