Just a day's journey

Aug 29, 2006 17:27

So, I am updating from my Treo at a nice little eatery called "Zoe's Kitchen" in Patten Creek (next to the Rave). I still haven't found peace in my day to day schedule. Alot of that has to do with my assignment. I am fitting in OK, it's just that some things are so so so so so so redundant. This ER has a few more stressful factors which include ( Read more... )

I agree on the taziki's comment.

Go with a mac.

I'll be "up in your neck' this week. We'll chat.

I love the Grilled Chicken Pita at Zoe's. They have several locations, including the Summitt. But Taziki's is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Birmingham. In addition to the one at the Collonade, there's also one in Mtn Brook on 280 and in Lee Branch further down 280. And the owner is a Methodist. He goes to my church. Their Friday and Saturday special is so good. It's probably one of my favorite things to eat when I go out to eat.

Where on 280 do you live? Cheeburger Cheeburger is really close to my house.

I live off of Meadow Brook behind Joe's Crab Shack in a place called Horizons. I was just at the Rave in Lee Branch the other day. I guess I was right next to Taziki's. I will have to stop in for lunch next week.

if money is an issue, a PC is much cheaper. if not, go with the mac. its so much easier to use. the only thing i miss is publisher but i've learned other programs that are similar to publisher. it has all the shortcuts as a PC, you just have to learn how to use them since there isn't a "right click". i've had my powerbook for 14 months- no pop ups ever, no virus's, no spywear, etc. the only problem is that i had to order a new battery this week because mine was one that was recalled- but that was a Sony problem, not a Mac problem.

I LOVE MY MAC!!!

I have played around with a macbook in CompUSA and it always seems so awkward. I did noticed there was no backspace button or backspace button. I'm sure I would get used to one. I guess I am just sooooooo PC oriented. Thanks for the input!

My friend Susannah has a mac, and she loves it. Also, Mac customer service is extremely helpful. Her cat is a computer genius and somehow managed to reverse the resolution on her computer screen. We took it to the Apple store at Lennox, and the guy at the genius bar fixed it in about 3 keystrokes. I'm looking at going back to school next semester, and if I get a laptop, I'm definitely going with a mac.

Next time you go to Zoe's, you should try the chicken quesadillas. Not your traditional quesadilla, but SOOO good. We have a Zoe's at the mall I was working at in Spanish Fort, and I must have eaten there almost every day.

Also, you should call me. I miss you!

Mac seems to be the most popular choice. I just need to decide if I can use one without getting frustrated.

Let me go ahead and say to get the Mac. If the windows thing is getting to you, you can always run Windows on your Macbook as well as the Mac OS.

Also, Taziki's is far away my fav. I worked there for a while when I was paying of my wife's engagement ring. Ketih (the owner) used to play drums for Cahaba Bend (where Ben Williams is) before moving to Brett's church. Great guy! The food is also great:)
