wow, pretty amazing. You really have come a long way baby. I'm continually impressed at watching your growth both personally and professionally as you are moving forward in your new life.
As I told another nurse who asked why I chose oncology, I wanted to become a nurse to make a difference and help those who needed it most. I had no idea I would be doing it in the way I am - but I am so grateful and appreciative that this is where I have landed.
This truly is what I was meant to do. It may sound corny to some, but this job completes me. I am becoming a better person every day because of my work.
It took me this long to find my rewarding career - as well as a huge leap of faith. As I told my therapist this past week, looking back at what I did, quitting my job to go back to school full-time to become a nurse, was a huge leap of faith. But it felt right, more right than anything I had ever done.
And I have had the most incredible support from friends and family along the way (you amongst them). Now that I have found my calling, my wish is that everyone else I know and love find theirs. I know how lucky and fortunate I am, how rare it is to find the career that matches your passions and skills so well.
But if I can do it, I know that others can as well, it just requires listening to the universe around you and taking a leap of faith, no matter how scary. And knowing that you are surrounded by loved ones to catch you and support you as needed.

It's still really surreal to step back and see where I was less than a year ago.
Now I just need to get my social life back in order!!
