I was a pack animal today.  After picking Tilde up on my bicycle and racing down to Abby's school I found myself wheeling a (rather tall) bike with a helmeted child firmly strapped into the child seat, a bareheaded child perched somewhat precariously on a saddle with her knapsack hanging in Tilde's face and ... the finishing touch ... a quarter- ( Read more... )

Life without a bathtub is much too hard to contemplate.

The trip home from school sounds familiar -- our old house was uphill from either one of the girls' schools (which, themselves, were opposite directions from the house and let out only five minutes apart). Making it home at the end of the school day sounds worthy of celebration, in and of itself!
