so I've been sick since thursday night (hey, jo, aren't you SO GLAD you didn't come over now? XD) and by sick I mean with a fairly annoying cold with a fairly annoying low fever. yah
( Read more... )
Huh, I guess you really don't get the hang of Thursdays do you? XDDDD Congrats on your average! ^^ (don't worry about conflicts, considering what happened during blocus, I'd say that between surgery recovery and fussy mom, you came out pretty well ^^; )
Yaaay!! You watched GA!!! XD isn't it ttly like General Hospital? Isn't Christina cool? And George!! And Izzy (notice how it is possible to make a blonde Cameron nice and likeable??). Oh and beware of Season 2. It will suck you in and NOT let you go. The more I watch GA and Heroes, the more I realise how much I love procedural series. At least you never get the pesky "to be continued" after the POTW recovers in House...
yes, GA is way awsome and everybody is awsome and George deserves a cuddle (because what's his name gave him syphilis XD)
that wouls be the Temeraire series, which is AWSOME and has DRAGONS and was written by shalott ^^
yeah I'm on LLN but guess what? I killed my powercord yet again so I'll only be on the comp in the afternoon/evening rather than at night (I'm preserving the battery to type the bibliography I have to give it friday)
anyway, first things first. The Temeraire Series is an amazingly well written and addictive (and on going) historical fantasy series. it's about the Napoleonic wars...with DRAGONS. if you like fantasy and have an english bookstore near you, you should DEFINITELY try them (there are excerpts on the website). UK title: "Temeraire", US title: "His Majesty's Dragon", author: Naomi Movik.
now that that's done: don't worry, we don't get our grade system either ^^;;; but full marks is 20, if that helps ^^;;
I knew that from, like before, so I always copy long comments (or ones with links XD) just in case but I guess I have been lulled into a false sense of security and all...
it IS interesting! but yeah, after you finish your current reading list :p nah, she's purely american but she writes fanfiction on LJ (her username is astolat ^^; it's kind of an open secret) which is how we knew her book was gonna be good ^^
I think the point of different grading systems is that so when you go to another country and say "my grades were -" people just nod politely and assume they were good ^^;;
