That's terrible you had to find out about your grandfather through facebook. :\

It was pretty miserable. And frustrating. My dad was on his way home; he'd wanted to tell us in person, but was on a business trip about two hours away. I went on facebook to update about my new job and my cousin's status told me. It was sad and shocking and I was really pissed at my cousin about it.

the last big news I got through facebook was the news that my brother was close to the Mumbai terror attacks but safe... even though that was good news I was oddly irritated that I kept getting updates through this random friend of mine and not my own family. So I can definitely get an idea of how terrible it must be to hear something like your grandfather's death through facebook... :\ facebook is taking over the woooorld
