Well, I won't tell Elias that girls ARE kind of mean, but CONGRATULATIONS! I can't wait to see your cute little daughter. And shopping for clothes will be so much easier. ;)

This is true about girls, but we listed all the girls we know that aren't mean. He mostly thinks the girls at daycare are mean when they tell him they don't want him to play with him. We try to explain that people are allowed to decide who they want to play with and it isn't necessarily mean. Oh well, he's a sensitive soul.

And yes, girls clothes are better if only because they can wear ANY color and are not limited. When Eli was littler you might remember we didn't cut his hair for quite a while and he had some really amazing little curls so people thought he was a girl... so any girly colors were off limits. So irritating that girls can wear blue but boys can't wear pink (until they are grown men, and then it is okay again)

Aw don't give up on the cute shoes.

One of my girls requred perfect socks, with perfect seams always aligned at the toe and nothing bulky at the end. And this same picky quirk carried equally into her shoe wear. My youngest never cared, was easy to buy shoes for and to this day she will wear worn-out mismatched socks with holes in them.

I look forward to hear about when SHE is born :)
