He Arrived!

For those of you who may not have heard yet, our baby has finally arrived. Gabriel John Britton was born at home on Mon, Oct 8 at 12:27am. He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz, and is 20 in. long. He is so cute, and really sweet tempered. I love being a mom! It was really one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I am posting pictures so you can all see how

I really liked birthing at home. I had a midwife with two assistants, and then my good friend Heidi was my unofficial doula. She hasn't had any training, but she really wants to become a doula. It was just really comfortable and natural. I don't think I would have done as well if I had gone to the hospital-but that was just my personal preference.

Congratulations, I'm seriously so impressed with you going through the home birth thing, especially for your first one. I certainly wouldn't have the courage. He has so much hair!
