Kaiya and I were officially Delta certified last spring, but because my hip was really starting to act up, and because my plan was to do a reading program with her - which involves sitting on the ground - we never actually did anything to use our new status. Aw, how great that she came in. I'm not surprised that she gave you the cold shoulder there for a bit. She's smart enough to know that you were the nexus of all this going on. But it didn't last long, did it? And soon you'll be sprung!

That is such a cute reunion story. I'm glad she showed her potential for being a visiting cheerer upper at nursing homes.

I'm convinced that animals really do express feelings like resentment. When I go away for a few days, my cats totally ignore me for a while when I come home...until I feed them. But hubby says they spend a lot of time looking for me while I'm away.

I'm so glad she came for a visit. Sounds like she has a definite opinion about you being absent and adores you despite that. ;)
