Help Change Ohio's Law on Owning Exotic Pets

Oct 21, 2011 18:41

After the slaughter of so many animals - many of them endangered - in Ohio the other day, a petition has been started to change the state's law, one of the laxest in the nation, to make it harder to keep exotic animals as "pets." I've signed, and if you want to sign, too, click the link. animals

I think I've signed three of these petitions already. Man, what happened there was absolutely horrible, on so many levels.

I am sorta floored that they have really lax laws regarding GIGANTIC DANGEROUS WILD animals that do not belong living near residential areas, but have banned pit bulls. Just...whut?

I signed, & posted it on my FB. Although trying to make Kasich keep his word on anything is an iffy proposition. We'll see. *fingers crossed*
