March 10, 2007 was the 10 year anniversary of the debut episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm posting my Buffy cover story for The Coast, which was published just before the series finale, in May of 2003. <3!

but i think it's a mistake to say tar has no personality. or maybe the point. she's sutle and quiet and only really open to a select few. she's had to face so much and no one really gts her. i think there are people just like her. actuallu i identify with her a lot.

my other favourites are spike, darla(most from the angel eps) and anya.

Thanks.

It's not that I think she had no personility so much as that she was written as Willow Version 2. She took over the outsider status Willow had in earlier seasons. But even beyond that there were times where I was like, do we really need two characters like this? I think it's Whedons strength to have a definite dialogue style, but still make his characters sound different. That's what makes Spike, Anya, Xander and all them guys so awesome.

i guess i just don't really see her as all that much of a willow 2, closer to the begining willow i guess, but i still feel like that's missing her a bit.

I just came across this very issue of The Coast last week while rooting. So why not post the cover, by the remarkable David K. Howlett?

I would rather people use their imaginations. But really, it's because I have to go out of my way to get to a place where I can scan it. But I'll do so eventually. I'm gonna keep this in my live journal. I mean to italicize the titles in it sometime soon too.
