rankings of bc high schools were in the paper today.
hamber has actually dropped like 70 places.
im depressed that i go to that school.
its pretty unfair, though, seeing as they have public and private schools on the same list.
and the public schools like like 2% of their budget.
oh well.

megan

ps: i am an amazing driver for real now.

is it just judging academics?

nope.
hamber got 0.3/10 for athletics.
and it jugdes things like average exam scores and graduation rate.
and the amount of kids in a grade behind and so on.

0.3 is the rate, a percentage. It's not the rating. The rating is 6.5/10.

actually, we get roughly about a thrid of the funding from the government than you guys get. we have to pay out of our pockets for the education we get.

i meant the amo9unt of money the school gets run with in total.
it is true that you get a lot less money from the government, but kids that go to public school can't afford to go to private school a lot of the time.
i just meant that the private schools are a lot more privileged in that way.

Well, it's not my fault. If you guys started getting a few more A's, and spent less time having "social lives", then maybe our ranking would be higher.

And the article and rankings are on the Province website:

The detailed report for Hamber is in Part 4.

The statistics aren't necessarily about the school. They're about the kids who go to the school. There really haven't been many staff changes in the last five years, so the school hasn't really changed. The kids are just getting progressively lazier, you lazy fucks.
