It's different for everyone, but in my experience the Nuvaring still gave me what I called "hormone sickness" every month I put a new one in (violently nauseated for a day or two). I currently have the Mirena in after coming off of the Nuvaring. Thought I adored the Nuvaring the 6 years I was on it, it's been a noticeable difference in the flow of hormones. I have less migraines and less mood swings for sure. The Ring is still a good choice compared to other BC if you're coming off of an IUD.
