so whatever happen to those days when drinking was exciting.....where i would bounce off the walls and have the time of my life. maybe i imagined most of it
( Read more... )
i think those drinking days are only fun for a while. i think you reach a point where you're like, 'jesus christ, i got wasted last night. now i feel like complete shit and im not going to get anything done today. why did i get wasted? it wasnt really all that fun. now i want to vomit and my head feels like its im a million pieces. IT WAS NOT WORTH IT.' at least thats how it was for me. i think for most people it is that way. i mean, you dont see adults going out and getting shit-faced 2-4 times a week. you just kinda... grow up, i guess. theres nothing wrong with it. i think when we are young, shit like that is fun because its 'new' or 'off-limits' (like our parents dont know). so thats the appeal, but after a while, it stops being new, so the fun wears off and it just becomes something seniors in high school do. i dono, im all for a glass of wine or two, but if you think about it, alcohol is EXPENSIVE. its a lot of money to go out and drink. money id rather spend on a shirt or art supplies or whatever
