you should also note that the average wage is lower for serving staff because they get tips, the same is for bartending,

if you just want your food.. go to Domminoin and buy it and cook it yourself... if you go out for dinner you do not just want the food, you want it SERVED to you and cooked for you, you want your drinks refilled, you want that fork that dosn't look too clean replaced... you want service...

I do not tip if the waiter is a cock face.. other than that, there is nothing wrong with givin up a little extra

oh.. HOW ARE YOU!!

by the way...

nice to hear from you

hey!

well someplaces do... ( but people do not notice and tip anyway )

but there are people that do not like that the tip is "assumed"

so whats shakin with you?

that's what i was going to say...

i think most people would rather decide for themselves what they want to leave as a tip if any at all.

it's usually automatically added if a server is serving a large party, other than that i don't know of too many other instances that a tip would be included. although i think that the marche on front st does tack on a 10% gratuity. but now i'm just rambing... >_

Having worked in the restaurant industry as a manager, I can say that clientele like you, who complain about everything, are those that we'd rather not have patronize our business at all.

thanks for assuming i complain all the time, but that wasnt the point of this post at all... i was discussing tipping. I've worked in sales my whole life so i know what rude customers are like, so i deffinatly try to be as polite as possible to my waiter(ess) im not one of those people that complains their soup is one degree to cold or my sandwich isnt exactly 6.872746 inches long.
