there is no such thing as the best
the best is a level of perfection and prefection doesnt exist but in the imagination so the best therefor only would exist there as well.

I love thinking!

what are you talking about? this is not a pessimistic or optimistic observation. The view on this subject, as i see it, can only be viewed from a neutral stand point.

I was just noting the contradictions in the quotes. From what they say together, it doesnt matter how you look at it, bad or good, it still says the same thing. There ARE no best things in life, no matter how you interpret it. Hence the reason that you can only look at it from a neutral stand point. It was a rhetoric question. But I will humor you, and use your view on the subject. Friendship and trust, are they free? No they are not. In order for friendship there must be mutual feelings on both sides, basically meaning, you must give friendship to recieve friendship. Therefore friendship is not free, because you have to give friendship to recieve it. Trust...to trust, somebody or someone must give you a reason to trust in them, therefore it is not true that it is free. The rule of equivelance in alchemy is a perfect example..In order to gain something, an equivalent amount must be lost. So if those are your best things in life then they are not free...and from the saying "the best things in life are free" then those things must not ( ... )
