My wonderful friend Kim died this morning in NC. She developed a fever when she was in intensive care and they placed her on a ventilator. When her fever did not go back down for a reasonable amount of time, they removed her from the transplant list. She was sedated the whole time. Even though it won't help the pain, you're right. It's worth it to love people.

i'm so sorry Mel, and yes it is always worth it to love people....how else can you appreciate them when they are with you? and remember them with the love inside your heart?

I'm so sorry to hear about Kim's passing. She sounds like an amazing person who touched many people's lives in a positive way.

Please let me/us know if there is anything we can do to lend support in this difficult time.
