My Lunch Sammich

Mar 23, 2006 14:00

Foofy herb-y bread
Cream cheese
Romaine lettuce
Smoked turkey slices
Slice of Muenster
Thin Pink Lady apple slices
Arugula
Mayo
Foofy herb-y bread

Whoever it was at that Co-Op that thought to put the pert Pink Lady apple slices right next to the spicy and slightly bitter Arugula was just brilliant. I'm going to go rub my head against their leg.

Ooh "pert"! Nice choice of adjective!

That sandwich sounds a-maz-ing, by the way.

Thank you! I should get two sibling kitties and call them Pert and Sassy.

It was wonderful. They also sized it right, too - about 1.5 cups of food all told. If it had been twice its size, I would have eaten the whole thing and groaned on the floor. I love people who manage my portions for me.

I think at the next party, I'll bring a huge sub sammich just like it. Of course, I'd keep some parts animal free, for the vegetable people...

Does the "eh" come from knowing you could make it better, or just a general lack of inspiration?

That sounds SOOOOOOOO good. SO good.

course, it could also be because it's 2:30pm and all I've eaten all day is a donut and a bowl of dry honey nut cheerios.

You need you some protein! Carry a baggie of walnuts or pecans and eat them when life keeps you away from good food.

That sandwich does sound yummy....better than the rice and pear I had to eat.

Well, a good pear is hard to beat. I try to stay away from mostly-rice meals, though. They don't satisfy me for long.

It was there and just needed to be reheated. That is the only reason I ate it.

I need to get groceries.

The Hampden Park Co-op. It's on Raymond Ave. It was actually voted the best natural foods coop in MN or something like that...

They make 4 interesting homemade soups each day!
