I really ought to be pleased

My paper submitted to the 25th ACM SAC got accepted, last week. This is only my second paper and I really ought to be more excited about getting my ideas out there and critiqued by the community. But I'm largely underwhelmed and the only excitement is the prospect of a trip to Switzerland, in March. Even when I submitted it, I wasn't too impressed

I'm so ashamed that I haven't even told my comp sci mates about it. I'd have much rather preferred a 'reject' with solid reviewer comments about where analysis needs to be concentrated, than an 'accept' with this-work-has-potential cop-out.

in the end conferences are more about interacting with the community than presenting a paper.
