Oh goodie! More thankks for your wonderful recs. I just started Skinnybone Tree this morning in the dentist's chair, while having a root canal, and it's seriously fascinating and vivid enough to have taken my mind off the events taking place in my mouth. Personally, I love the judicious use of music, and this is the first podfic I've encountered using sound effects. I'm actually pretty impressed! Dodificus is restrained her use of them, so to me, they're a real enhancement. (And I love her accent.)

I'm downloading the others now. It's amazing how fast I'm buzzing through this material. What a gift to fandom the podfic community is!

Hey, you -- I am listening to your recording of "When Heroes Go Down," and I'm loving it! You are a wonderful reader, with a beautifully measured voice and direct style.

Really? Wow, thank you! I'm very flattered and so pleased that you're enjoying it. My Podbang gift was riverbella's recording of your "I'd Drive All Night," and I'm a big fan.

1. Why don't you try and read some podfic, yourself? You have a lovely voice, if I remember correctly.

2. My dad is in the process of recording one of my John-centric fics! He has a great reading voice, so I think it'll be cool. He's expressed so much interest in fandom and wanted to participate somehow even though he's seen the show like, once -- I think he wants to feel closer to me because I'm so far away, which is really sweet -- but of course I couldn't let him NEAR my LJ and all that bizarre leg-trauma and cigarette-smoking *g*, so I rooted around and found my most straight-up non-weird fic for him to record. Annnyyyywaaaayyy I'm excited for that :)

1. I bought myself a mic, so I've been thinking on it. And I did some run-through readings of a story of mine, in preparation. But since I got back from my vacation, I've had the damn bronchitis, so I've been sidelined.

2. That is so incredibly cool! It would be awesome to have Papa Roque read Papa Winchester!
