your dinner sounds delicious (i mean, prime rib!) and the fact that the restaurant is making free lunches for folks in need is even better. good food and a good cause!

Absolutely! The free lunches sealed the deal for me on getting takeout at some point. They also have cheaper options, which I may do another time.

But wow, that prime rib was good. And the flourless cake was sublime too.

Sounds delish! We have a pretty good steakhouse in town, I might just have to do this, myself. :D

I've mostly been eating at home, since our restaurant options are limited here - fast food, bar food, American Chinese, American Mexican.

Not totally awesome, though a couple are really good.

Damn that sounds good! Way better than the leftovers in my fridge. I was in the habit of eating out multiple times during the week. Staying in and eating my own cooking has helped me lose a couple pounds but we do try to get take out at least once a week to support the local restaurants. Thus far we've done the local Italian place (which is fabulous!), pizza and Chinese but I don't think there's a steak place that isn't a chain. Pity.
