My Weekend update. . .
Ok, this weekend was great! After finally fighting the traffic and the long drive we finally made it up to NC around 10:30 pm. Got checked into the hotel, and decided to stay two nights because we really didn't want to make the drive 2 days in a row. . .I can only take so much traffic, before I lose my cool. . . Anyways Saturday, got up early so that we could be at the Fest when it opened. . .girls and Robert went down to make breakfast while I got ready. . .we didn't quite make it there at the opening, we were about 10 to 15 minutes late. . .but at last we were there, in the parking lot we ran into the Lost Boys who were going through their vocal warm ups, so as not to disturb them I waved, and we made our way to the entrance of the festival. We bought our tickets, and entered the festival grounds. . .as soon as I walked 2 feet there was Thug. . .YAY!!! I had waited so long to meet here, and there she was. If I remember correctly she was with Kristina. . .and we chit chatted, and walked a bit, then I met her mom who was with the Lady Amanda. . .and Thug gave me a "Thug Hug" honestly she picked me up, and spun me around in a circle. . .WOW, she is amazing, and you will see what I mean when you see the pictures at the bottom of this post. . .I am way bigger than her, and for her to pick me up as if I am nothing. . .yeah, shocked the heck out of me!! We walked a little more, then everyone seperated and went our different ways. We explored the site, the girls found a fairy who in turn gave them each a blue pebble. . .and as we made our way back towards the entrance we ran into the Lost Boys, where I was informed that unfortunatly the cd was not ready in time to bring to the festival. . .BOO!!! But, because I traveled all that way, Matthew gave me one of the advance copies. . .he is too sweet. . .and then they sang " I Love You" to the girls. . .Gwen was so embarrassed, but Arin loved every minute of it!! After walking around some more the girls were introduced to the Princess, who was so very nice and she told them that she loved the Lost Boys too. . .they were in shy mode, and very closed mouth. . .then it was time for the first lost boys set. . .they ROCKED!!! Gwen wasn't feeling well, so Robert took her off for a walk. After the show, we got something to eat, and the girls got to ride a camel. . .we went to the 2nd show, and I sat with K. . .Gwen still wasn't feeling well, so after this set, we got into the car, took R and G back to the hotel room, and then A and me went back to the fest. Everyone wanted to know where G was, and I had to explain about her migraine headaches, which now, I am almost sure are brought about by stress. At the 4:15 show, K got to start the show off by playing the drum with Tom. . .then Angus jumped right over her head. . .yeah, talk about a view!! After the show, we kinda hung out, chit chatted. . .Arin danced around. . .it was great. . .I felt like I belonged. . .I loved it!! But all too soon it was over, and time to say goodbye. . .JC told us thanks for coming, and he gave Arin a hug, and then he gave me a hug. . .I told K bye, and got another Thug hug. . .wished everyone well, and went back to the hotel. Robert said that Gwen was feeling better, so we went out to dinner at Chili's, because R had a giftcard. . .and it wouldn't cost us as much. . .low and behold who did we see as we walk through the door?!? K and Andy. . .ok, I was surprised. . .even though R says that I totally planned it, I am, and was not guilty. . .but I was happy to see her again. . .we got to talk a little more while we waited to be seated. . .and then when we got seated, they just so happened to seat them at the table behind us. . .ok, bad mood on their behalf. . .it started off so simply. . .I was holding a packet of Slenda. . .and it slipped from my grasp, and flew behind me to hit Andy. . .honestly, an accident. . .he said that it was "sweet" ok a pun. . .well, the sugar kept flying off and on through out the meal, as did several messsages. . .it was more fun than I have had in a very very long time, but all too soon it was over with, and I was saying goodbye again to Thug, got another hug from her, and one from Andy, who surprised me at remembering that I was the girl who would do anything for a hug. . . and that was that, we left to go back to the hotel. Then on Sunday we had to go home. . .and here I am today, at work. . .missing NC!!
