Karmynn is doing everything she can to try to "earn" her love.

Even though I was here for her the entire time Susan "disappeared", and even though it was me who took her to the dentist and held her hand through the extensive process, and even though it's me who has been in her room comforting her as she cries herself to sleep ......

as soon as Susan walked in today Karmynn bounced over, hugged her, and announced, "I'm a Momma's girl!"

So no, Karmynn didn't need to be given a choice - she definitely would have stayed.

But Karmynn is far more adaptable anyway. Tristan is not.

Thanks man. I'm passing up about 3 wisecracks, because I don't want to ruin this moment. :-)

How do you like the little TXT SPEAK going on there, you know the cute little sideways smiley face.

Because it's all about Susan.

That is all.

Karmyn is NO way saying from her heart that she is a mommies girl. She is deathly afraid of Susan abandoning her. Karymnn sounds like Lil' B, (Brandon and until you learn that) difference, you will always feel jealous!

Here is what I forsee that could very possibly happen. Karymnn will do ANYTHING to please her mother right now. You, unfortunately will get the shit end of the stick.

why?

It's safe. She knows you aren't going anywhere. Karmynn is going to be so scared that her saying "No, or anything else" will cause her mother to leave ( ... )

I agree with Quiet_Exchange, hang in there, your words are a definite inspiration to me (you're the dad I want to/know I can be.) Thank you for that.

Thanks man. Glad you "came aboard" this ridiculous roller coaster that is my life. I think we have a lot in common.

Thank you, dear....for saying this. I can see "logically" that what you are saying is true.

How can she just give up? She's his mother. He cries, she drops him back off? Some woman.

I am starting to get a sense of what she must be like. It's good he is there with you.

Well, she would excuse that by saying she was "doing what's best for him". Because, in her mind, getting him to stop crying NOW would be the best thing.

She doesn't look into his future, and see what damage she is likely doing by demonstrating time and again that she doesn't want to "mess with it" when things get tough.

It really does, quite thoroughly! I just want it to be done & over with & to be able to move on.

Not sure that ever happens.

Just depends on how much your mind can control the whims of the heart. I think.

But I guess it's a learning process, and experience certainly makes it easier.
