[fic] #2 Christmas - Heechul/Ryeowook

Notes: Inspired by that Marry U performance that Kyuhyun first sings Ryeowook's part at the end. I can't remember the date, but it had pretend snow and everything. A bit lame, but *shrug*
Heechul compares it to Christmas, with all the snow falling and the smiles on his bandmates faces. He knows it's mostly because Kyuhyun is there, dancing and singing with them as if all the bad things in the past never happened. Like everything was normal again.
Heechul feels normal and there's a smile on his face as well. He's happy, something he barely ever is. Because the world sucks. But right now, in this one short moment, it doesn't, and Heechul fully intends to enjoy it.
He turns his head and glances at the person beside him; it's Ryeowook, smiling as he looks out into the crowd from behind their youngest. He doesn't mind being beside Ryeowook, although the occasion doesn't happen very often. Heechul and Ryeowook barely talk since, really, Ryeowook is just too innocent for him. The boy hasn't experienced the world yet, sheltered by his elders from the horrors of life.
Heechul isn't one of them of course. He is far from a role model and Ryeowook already has Eeteuk, who babies Ryeowook like a mother would. And Kangin, who cares for Ryeowook like a father does his favorite daughter. But Heechul does find the boy's naivety comforting in moments like this; a bright and untainted light.
Heechul reaches out and brings the magnae close, mouthing the last words of their song to the younger boy. Ryeowook looks a bit surprised and doesn't know how to react to the affection he rarely gets from his hyung but follows Heechul's lead like a good dongsaeng.
He lets himself be pulled into a hug, arms clumsily clutching at Heechul's shoulder, body trembling slightly with nervousness. He's afraid of Heechul's rebukes and even more afraid of being pushed away. Ryeowook likes Heechul and wants to get to know his hyung better, but he also knows that Heechul can change moods in an instant and doesn't completely trust his hyung not to do a 180 on him.
But it doesn't happen as the the song comes to an end and the moment is over and the world continues to suck, but Heechul will remember and that's all that really matters
