Notes: Kibum is just a replacement. Mentions of ShiChul and HanChul. I think most of my fics for this challenge is going to be angsty or crack @.@ This one unfortunately is angst.
Kibum likes to pretend. To pretend that the hands wandering expertly around his body are loving, finding pleasure spots easily and bringing Kibum to the brink of ecstacy. It's easy for Kibum to lose himself in this, to forget that things aren't so simple as just him and Heechul. Because it's not simple. They're not simple.
Kibum tries not to think of how it's just a convenience. That it actually means something when Heechul slams the door to Kibum's room open and starts tearing at Kibum's clothing, when all it means is that Heechul saw them together again and wants to forget in the planes of Kibum's chest. Kibum tries to pretend that they aren't just having sex because Heechul wants to have sex, but because they're in love.
But they're not. Because this isn't a fairytale of a prince and his princess. It's of reality and a man who can't have the boy that he loves and instead has sex with another.
Because Heechul does not love Kibum. He can't. He never will. Because Heechul loves Shiwon. Who loves Hangeng. Who loves Shiwon back.
They make a good couple, Kibum thinks, but he knows that Heechul doesn't share the same opinion. It was the reason Heechul sought Kibum out every night. The reason he threw himself at Kibum after all the schedules were done. It was to forget and to let Kibum pretend.
It's not a secret. Heechul knows that Kibum knows and Kibum knows that Heechul knows, but they still continue their game of pretend and forget. Because Kibum loves Heechul and doesn't care who Heechul wants because Heechul's with him. And that's why Kibum is here, with Heechul writhing beneath him, pretending that the name falling from those rose petal lips is Kibum's own. Because Kibum loves Heechul and doesn't care who Heechul wants as long as Heechul stays with him. But Kibum thinks it's harder to forget sometimes, when Heechul is sobbing afterward, curling up into a ball, not allowing Kibum to comfort him with a hug.
For as long as Shiwon does not love Heechul, Heechul will use Kibum as a replacement. If that's the only way he can be close to Heechul, he'll pretend he doesn't mind.
