People can be obnoxious, especially on the internet where you can't see the result of hurting people's feelings, assholery tends to be more prevalent. Don't let it get you down! *hug*

And there are plenty of theories that haven't been proven yet, and plenty of scientists who do believe in God - logic and faith are not mutually exclusive, regardless of so-called "rationalists" claim.
