Sorry I'm late again! To begin with, I just want to say...
I can't believe how grossly out of proportion this story has become. At the most he looks drunk in those pics (if they're real, rumors of photoshopping abound), and at least just normally dazed and amused. Plus, he's 27! How he has fun and with who should be his own concern. What bothers me is the motives of the girls who borke the story; was it because they needed money or fame, were mad at him for something he did or didn't do, or just pure malice? Whatever, it's all a big waste, and it hasn't changed my opinion of Arashi one bit. I have been writing in to the various companies to express my support and I hope those of you who can will as well (see community posts) because the more the better. Let's show them how much we love our boys!:)
Other than that...
I think my brain's already on vacation even though I don't leave for another 3 weeksXD But I have so much to do, I really need to get my act together...>_< Plus, I started jogging and rollerblading to train myself for mountain climbing, but somehow I keep running into trouble at every turn *cries*:S After 2 weeks my rollerblade started digging into my right ankle so bad I have a painful bump on the tendon that refuses to go away, so I had to quit. Which sucks, because I love rollerblading, and I'm trying to help one of my friends learn^^; So I was jogging instead, but after 3 weeks my left hip started hurting so bad I can't walk without limping. I want to scream!XD I had to quit that too, so now I'm down to power-walking (or rather, power-lipmingXD), but it isn't getting better, so I caved and went to the doctor, who recommended physiotherapy, muscle reconditioning and massage therapy. Luckily I have insurance, but seriously, I'm university-age, not retirement-age, why me??>_< Now I have 3 weeks to get that fixed and somehow build up my endurance at the same time...that was not well planned;P Argh. Ganbarimasu!>_<
But really, today's focus is the last half of the GRA Figure Skating Special=)
(continuation)
Aiba: I see, I see.
[Announcer: Now, a review. For the axel you slide on your left foot and then use the dge of the left foot to jump forward. If you
watch her feet you slides on her left foot and jumps forward. That's an axel. And the salchow is when you slide on your left foot
and use the left edge to jump backwards. When you watch her feet she slides on her left foot and then jumps backwards. That's the
salchow. Which means that the correct answer is, the difference is in whether she jumps facing forward or jumps backwards. Arakawa-san
me ntioned it earlier, since for the axel you jump facing forward and land backwards, although they call it a double compared to the
other jumps it's 1 turn...2 turns...and a half. That's right, it does one half-turn more.]
Itou: Next ne, eh, is the difference between the loop and the toe-loop.
Aiba: So watch them ne, and look for the difference.
[Announcer: Do you kow the differences between jumps? Intermediate section. First is the loop.]
Itou: This time she's going to display the difference between the loop and the toe loop. First is Arakawa-san's double loop.
Aiba: That was extremely nice.
Itou: Everyone's way of watching has kind of changed ne.
Aiba: That's right ne.
Shizuka: This is decisively different ne. (writing)
Aiba: This is decisive?
[Announcer: Next is the toe loop.]
Itou: Well then, next is Arakawa-san's double toe loop.
Aiba: Toe~ loop~.
Nino: I can't tell at all. Can't tell at all.
Kanako: Again~?
Nino: It's not decisive.
[Announcer: Did you all get it? Think of the difference in the names and watch one more time. Where's the toe loop? So, what's the
difference between the two?]
Jun: Um, could you show it to us one more time ne?
Itou: No, like I said, look...are you listening? It's the loop and toe loop. Ne?
Aiba: They're decisively different.
Itou: They're decisively different.
Shizuka: The names are pretty different-
[writing: Read the names carefully~!]
Nino: Wait!
kanako: Wait!
Nino: I'll take you on!
itou: Everyone's going?
Nino: What's different?
Itou: Leader, go ahead!
Ohno: For the loop you jump with one foot, for the toe loop you jump with both feet. (writing)
Itou: Too bad~! Sakurai-kun?
Sho: It's whether you take off with your heel or your toes. (writing)
Aiba: Uhh, how is that?
Shizuka: That's close ne.
Itou: It's close!
Aiba: But no good.
Itou: Close, but no good!
Kazuyo: Close?
Shizuka: Ah, but ne-
Sho: Close but no good??
Aiba: Then, let's go with the unexpected Kanako-chan! Let's go.
Kanako: For the loop you land on your heel, for the toe loop you land on your toes. (writing)
Itou: Land.
Aiba: Land.
Itou: No good~!
AIba: No good~.
Kanako: But I was so confident~. (writing)
Kazuyo: Eh, I have no diea~.
Aiba: You don't know?
Itou: You don't know? Then I guess we'll give you a hint, a hint.
Kanako: A hint?
Shizuka: It's different right before you jump. (writing)
Itou: It's before you jump.
Shizuka: Before this jump there's the loop, there's two of them and the second is the toe loop.
Itou: That's how it is.
[Annnouncer: A huge bonus, a super slow hint.]
Itou: Yes, are you ready?
Shizuka: You go like this.
Aiba: Ah~, that's right ne. That's right ne.
[Announcer: I'll say it over and over again, the TOE loop.]
Itou: Well ne, this is also in slow motion. See!
Aiba: it looks like he's got it. He's got it, that was really easy to understand just now.
Itou: But you don't know until he says it. Matsumoto!
Jun: The landing foot is left-right reversed. (writing)
Itou: Ah, too bad! It's not landing, it's before the jump!
Aiba: Think to what you were watching. How about you Matsui-san?
Kazuyo: Before she jumped she became like a ballerina. (writing)
Itou: That's it, the ballerina thing? No, that's wrong I'm telling you, that's wrong!
Aiba: That's an impression, an impression.
Nino: She just gave an impression now ne?
Itou: Yeah. Okay, please answer Ninomiya-kun. Go ahead.
Nino: Well ne, in the loop you jump without catching on anything, with the toe loop she jumps after catching on the ice. (writing)
Itou: Is that correct?
Shizuka: It's correct.
Aiba: Correct!
Itou: Correct~!
Nino: I did it!
Itou: I'll give out the correct answer. This is the loop and the toe loop. So, the difference here ne is right before the jump ne?
Shizuka: Yes.
Itou: For the loop it's just as is.
Shizuka: As is.
Itou: You just go from where you are on the right.
Aiba: That's right ne.
Itou: Well then, the toe loop is...like this.
Shizuka: The left foot.
Itou: She made the jump from her left foot ne. So the difference is using the left toe.
Aiba: I see ne~.
[Announcer: Now, a review. For the loop you glide backwards and jump using your right foot. Let's look at her feet. Gliding backwards
on her right foot and jumping with the same foot. That's the loop. For the toe loop it's gliding backwards, and this is the focus:
she uses the toe of the left foot to jump. Let's watch one more time. First she glides backwards on her right foot, and then jumps
\using her left toe. That's the toe loop. The difference between the two jumps is whether or not you use your toe. So, the last jump
question, advanced section. First is the lutz.]
Itou: She gets up some speed...
Aiba: Ne.
Itou: Yes, there it is.
Aiba: Wow~.
Itou: That's the double lutz.
Jun: Yes.
[Announcer: Next is the flip.]
Jun: Huh~? They're the same, the way I see it.
Kazuyo: I have no diea~, no idea.
Aiba: This is hard.
[Announcer: Huh? From what you see on this table everything's the same. But, in actuality the answer is hidden is this part here.
Watch the foot that's gliding right on the verge of the jump.]
Itou: Watch beginning with the lutz. That just now was a triple lutz ne.
Aiba: Triple lutz.
Itou: Triple lutz.
Shizuka: Triple lutz.
Itou: That's a triple lutz.
[Announcer: And one more time for the flip as well.]
Itou: Yes. She's jumped. So...
Aiba: That's the flip~.
Itou: Got that? It's a flip- oh, you've got the answer?
Aiba: You've got it? That's fast ne.
itou: Fast, fast. So, this time it's fast ne.
Aiba: Matsumoto-kun is fast ne.
Sho: Oh, I couldn't stop.
itou: Well then, go ahead and answer!
Jun: Whether the left foot swings forwards or backwards... (writing)
Shizuka: ...is not it.
itou: Is not it!
Aiba: Not it!
Itou: It's not it.
Aiba: Wrong.
Itou: Well then, next, Matsui-san!
Shizuka: The gliding foot is-
Kazuyo: When taking off when jumping...it's the difference between doing it ahead or behind. (writing)
Itou: That's wrong. Incorrect.
Kazuyo: Huh~.
Shizuka: It's hard so they might need a slower hint ne.
Itou: That's right ne~.
Aiba: ne~.
Itou: So, let's get Sakurai-kun to answer.
Sho: On the verge of jumping, it's whether the left foot is dropping or not, or whether it's resting or not. (writing)
Aiba: Ah, that's...so if you do that what happens?
Itou: Which means? What- what happens-
Aiba: Like this, like this.
Itou: What changes depedning on that?
Aiba: What and here does it change depending on that?
Itou: Go ahead!
Sho: The centre of gravity is on the right or the left. (writing)
Itou: Go ahead!
Sho: The centre of gravity is on the right or the left. (writing)
Itou/Aiba: Correct~!
[Announcer: Figure-skating jumnps: the difference between a lutz and a flip. First the lutz: she glides backwards on the left foot,
this is the focus. With her centre of gravity on the outside edge she jumps using her right toe. When looking at her feet...she glides
in on her left foot, facing backwards, and then jumps putting her weight on the outside edge. Mmm, people who figured this one out
are amazing. The flip is the reverse of this. Right before jumping she puts her centre of gravity on the inside edge and jumps. When
watching her feet...while sliding backwards on her left foot she jumps with her centre of gravity on the inside. This is the flip.
When you trying comparing them you can clearly see the difference. They say that even experts mix these two up some times.]
Shizuka: This is the most hardcore jump.
itou: It's a hardcore jump.
Jun: Despite that, it's interesting when you understand it ne.
Aiba: It's interesting ne.
Itou: it's interesting once you understand it. And, actually the points you can get change depending on the jump you make. So we're
going to investigate further in that area right after this.
Aiba: That's right, that's what we'd like to investigate.
[Announcer: Figure skating 4 option quiz. Now, everyone please discuss together and come up with one answer. If you get 2 out of
3 answers right you'll be able to eat the highly reviewed salt oden from last time. Do your best!]
Itou: So, amidst all that, this is the 4 option quiz with the warm salt oden riding on it.
Aiba: Let's go!
Itou: So, well then, let's move along. To begin with, the first question: Where is the area that is the origin on Japan's figure
skaters? Th options are Niigata, Nagoya, Sendai, and Nagaski's Dejima.
Jun: Well, there's pretty much no snow in Niigata and Nagasaki is there?
Kazuyo: It snows a fair bit in Niigata.
Kanako: There's some in Niigata.
Aiba: There's a lot of ski slopes after all ne.
Jun: So it wouldn't be B or D would it?
Itou: Everyone, please discuss it.
Nino: It's definitely B.
Jun: Why?
Nino: I mean...everyone comes out of Nagoya don't they?
Kazuyo: Eh~, that's right.
Jun: Eh?
Aiba: Ah, that's right ne, there's a lot who were born in Nagoya ne.
Nino: But there's a few in Fukuoka too, and about Niigata-
Jun: Niigata's kind of awkward ne.
Nino: I really don't think that Niigata would really be it.
Kanako: I think it's D. (writing)
Nino: I think it's B ne. (writing)
Aiba: Please pick one answer.
Jun: But, I mean, D- D says Nagasaki but it's got Dejima beside it.
Kanako: That's right, they wouldn't go to all that trouble if it wasn't that one.
Itou: it does say Nagasaki.
Jun: Nah, I think that's wrong.
Itou: So, please come to a conclusion everyone.
Nino: Ah, but there's this image that everyone trains at Nagoya. (writing)
Kazuyo: Nagoya ne...
Sho: Well, we've had a lot of opinions, so I think we should let Ohno-san-
Nino: We've decided.
Aiba: You've decided?
Itou: Well then, Leader, if you please.
Ohno: B.
Itou/Aiba: B, Nagoya.
Itou: What's the reason for that?
Ohno: I felt like A and C are...kind of ordinary. (writing)
Aiba: Niigata and Sendai.
itou: Niigata and Sendai.
Aiba: Ordinary is it?
itou: And what about Nagasaki?
ohno: Nagasaki has 'dejima' written by it, so I thought that was conversely... (writing)
Aiba: Suspicious?
Ohno: Suspicious.
Itou: I see, the process of elimination.
Aiba: So that means that B is left over.
Itou: So then Arakawa-san...
Shizuka: Yes.
itou: ...the correct answer is?
Shizuka: It's C. Sendai.
Kazuyo: Sendai...
Itou: Yes.
Shizuka: In Sendai there's a lake called Five Colors Lake, and when that lake iced over they say that this is where figure skating
originated. Since I was born in Sendai I was told that since I was a child. But it's the kind of lake where you wonder if
it really gets iced over.
Itou: And there are records indicating that the British conveyed it to us in the Meiji era. But, to give a more in-depth explanation,
there are those who say it was actually Hokkaidou, but among these four options it's Sendai ne. That's too bad.
Aiba: That's too bad.
Itou: The next question is this here, tada: after the performance ne, what is the place where you wait for your marks called? (writing)
Jun: Ah, I know this.
Sho: It's the place where you sit with the people in your group and wait ne?
Kazuyo: Where everyone watches you.
Itou: That's right ne.
[Announcer: That's right, what's the name of this spot that often gets shown on tv?]
Aiba: There's 4 options.
Itou: There are 4 options.
Aiba: Here we go.
Itou: Here they are. ready? Judging box; Destiny's pace; Kiss and cry; Believe in God.
Aiba: Ah~, there's a lot of variety ne. So everyone, go ahead and use your thinking time.
Ohno: Ah, can we go already?
Aiba: You're already ready?
Ohno: Yes.
Aiba: Then go ahead and answer.
Ohno: C.
Aiba: Why would that be?
Itou: Kiss and cry.
Jun: I've heard of it.
Ohno: Matsumoto-san kept saying that this whole time.
Aiba: I see ne.
Jun: Apparently they call it that because when you're there waiting for your marks you'll either cry or be happy, depending on whether
the result is good or bad...
Shizuka: Amazing~.
Aiba/Itou: Correct~.
Itou: That's magificent.
[Announcer: A happy kiss, and frustrated tears. It was named becuase it's a spot of great emotion.]
Aiba: It's a place where you'll see the drama of kissing or crying unfold.
Itou: That's why it was called that. I think it's a good name. However, what does it feel like when you're going there after your
performance?
Shizuka: When I go I usually sit down, when I'm heading there it's usually a 'I'm so tired'~ kind of feeling, like this. After that
I'll think about it, but for the moment it's a feeling like I have to go there.
Itou: Eager even up to then.
Kanako: You can't see that kind of reproduction.
Shizuka: There are skaters who feel so bad about their own performance that they don't want to go there and would rather leave. There
may even be skaters who leave. But, if you don't at least go sit there you get a penalty. Becuase when they announce the
points they can't not have anything to film.
Aiba: They have to be filmed for the sports cast.
Shizuka: That's right.
itou: Well then, moving along. The next question is this here, tada: Among figure skating's beautiful jumps, which is the one that
wins you the most points?
Sho: Ah, we learned them earlier!
Kanako: We learned them earlier ne~.
Itou: Here are the 4 question options. Tada~, there they are.
Aiba: Axel, flip, sal- salchow, lutz, is what they are. Which one has the highest points? Everyone, please discuss it. Thinking time
begins!
Itou: Please assume that the number of rotations remains the same. (writing) The number of rotations is the same, they all have 2
rotations, they all have 2 rotations.
Jun: If that's the case then you get the feeling that it might be the one with an extra half rotation...
Sho: The axel?
Kazuyo: I get the feeling it's the axel.
Sho: But ne...the one that's hard to display is the salchow ne.
Nino: But isn't the most difficult one the flip?
Kazuyo/Kanako: Cause you have to go like this and like this and like this.
Shizuka: By the way, I'm not good at this one. (writing)
Itou: You're not good at the flip?
Shizuka: Yes.
Itou: So earlier when you were demonstrating the flip you were... (writing)
Shizuka: I was kind of panicky. (writing)
Aiba: Ah, is that so...
Jun: The flip is the one where your centre of gravity's on the inside ne?
Itou: The flip is inside ne.
Shizuka: Yes, that's right ne. The flip is balanced on the inside.
Sho: I think that a judge who can tell the difference between a flip and a lutz would give them the highest points.
Kazuyo: The judge ne. The judge-
Nino: The judge ne would find those really high.
Sho: Yeah, high. Only...the axel has the extra half rotation, but in the end it would be...
All: Leader.
kanako: Leader's declaration.
Aiba: Leader, if you please. What's the correct answer?
Ohno: A~.
Nino: It came out to about here.
Itou: One more time.
Ohno: It's A.
Aiba: it's A, understood.
Itou: A, the axel?
Ohno: Yes.
Aiba: Why is that?
Ohno: Because it means 'higher points'. (writing)
Jun: There isn't one.
Nino: Sometimes, in this world, there's no reason.
Aiba: There's no reason?
Sho: So even though we discussed all these things it didn't contribute anything at all.
Aiba: Well then, Arakawa-san, please give us the correct answer, go ahead!
[Announcer: Which is the figure skating jump with the highest number of points?]
Aiba: Well then, Arakawa-san, please give us the correct answer, go ahead!
Shizuka: It's the axel, A, axel.
Kanako: We did it~!
Itou: It was the axel~. So, I'd like to take a look at the point order of the jumps. the axel is the highest of course, the next is...
Shizuka: The lutz.
Itou: The lutz.
Jun: it's the lutz is it...
Shizuka: Then, the flip.
Aiba: Flip.
Itou: Yes, lutz, flip...
Shizuka: Then salchow.
Itou: Yes, then salchow, that's how it is. After the flip, it's not here but it's actually the loop. Then next is the salchow. And the
one among the jumps with the lowest point value is the toe loop.
Shizuka: That's right ne, yes.
Itou: That's how it is.
Nino: Though that was the one that looked the most difficult ne.
Jun: Ne.
Itou: Furthermore, I thought we take a little look at the rules. The short program and free program, ne, there are those two types.
First, to being with, Arakawa-san, the short program.
Shizuka: Yes, it's the short program.
itou: This is...
Shizuka: This is where you glide through these given required elements within the approximately 2:50 time frame.
Itou: And the free program the next day is...4 minutes.
Shizuka: 4 minutes, yes. For women it's 4 minutes.
[Announce: In the short program you give a performance where you include these 8 required elements within the 2min 50 second time limit. In
the free program you're allowed to freely include your specialty moves but must also do the required elements within the 4 minute
period. By the way, the 8 required elements for the women's short program are these here. Well then, based on what you've learned today
let's take a look at the short program of Asada Mao-san, who was the overall winner at last year's Japanese National Figure Skating
championship.]
Commentator1: The first one isn't a combination, it's a triple lutz.
Commentator2: She did that easily ne~. Even in the follow-up the length was great.
Commentator1: She nailed it with a carefree, refreshing feel. And after this is a combination, a triple and a triple. A combination of
a flip...
Commentator2: A triple lutz.
Commentator1: Now it's been decided.
Commentator2: She's very relaxed ne, light and carefree. She's exuding elegeance from her whole form ne. her spiral sequence is also
very carefully done.
Commentator1: This song suits her so incredibly well that you would almost think Chopin wrote it for Mao-chan ne~.
Commentator2: Yes.
Commentator1: So, her specialty axel.
Commentator2: Double axel. She's completely certain ne.
Commentator1: Well, speaking in terms of things that she's further improved this season, besides the jumps it would be these parts I
guess~. She's going in a carefree straight line.
Commentator2: From a sideways to a layback (spin). And a one-handed Bielman.
[Announcer: A short program that combines all of the required elements and competes with beauty. From now on let's watch it while paying
attention to the elements and rules!]
Itou: Which means that, since you got 2 out of the 3 questions right, please help yourself to your favorite oden item ne.
[Announcer: Since you got 2 out of 3 questions right, eat up some delicious salt oden.]
Kazuyo: What's good?
Itou: One oden item each.
Kazuyo: Just one?
Aiba: Stop~! Stop here, a 'wait a minute' call has come in~. (writing)
Kazuyo: That's no good~.
Aiba: Now ne, I'm going to announce some delicious good news. (writing)
kazuyo: Eh? Is Ostrich Club-san coming? (writing)
Aiba: he isn't, he isn't. I'm going to go to the delicious good news. Um, next, I- Itou-san and I will give you a question. If you can
answer that question you'll be able to eat all- you'll be able to eat all the items.
Jun: No that's fine, one is fine.
Aiba: Just wait a minute, sorry. It's just one, one isn't enough when it's this cold. You can only eat one, but if you answer the
next question you can eat all of them, that's-
Kanako: I want to eat them all! (writing)
Aiba: You do ne!
Kanako: I want to eat them all! (writing)
Aiba: Which means...will you take the question, will you take the question?
Sho: Sorry, sorry, if we get it wrong...?
Aiba/Itou: Nothing. (writing)
Nino: But we can all answer together?
Aiba: That's fine, of course, everyone discuss it, everyone discuss it.
Sho: Then we'll do it.
Aiba: You're going to do it? Then please do it~.
[Announcer: The last quiz with all of the salt oden riding on it. Arakawa-san chose 2 jumps out of the six we learned today and will
perform them. If they can tell which jumps they are everyone will be able to eat delicious salt oden.]
Itou: Everyone, can you say the types of the 6 types of jumps? The 6 types.
All: Axel, salchow, loop, toe loop, lutz, flip.
Aiba: That's correct.
Kazuyo: Amazing.
Itou: So, it's those 6 types.
Jun: We memorized them today, for the whole day.
Shizuka: I'll be kind, for the sake of everyone's oden... (writing)
Nino: Arakawa-nee-san!
[Announcer: Arakawa Shizuka Quiz: what are the jumps she's about to do?]
Itou: So, here she comes.
Aiba: She's coming.
Itou: Yes, a triple-double-double combination.
[Announcer: A special hint for everyone: pay attention to her feet]
Itou: So, here she comes.
Aiba: She's coming.
Itou: So!
Aiba: That was kind of moving~.
Ohno: That was amazing just now.
Itou: Go ahead everyone.
Kazuyo:Amazing ne.
Itou: You can discuss it.
Aiba: Please come back with one answer.
Itou: it was a triple-double-double ne.
Jun: There was power in it.
Itou: It gave the appearance of power.
Nino: Eh? Her specialty is the flip.
Jun: The lutz, the lutz. You're not good at the flip ne?
Shizuka: I hate the flip.
Aiba: She hates it.
Sho: So it's not the flip.
Itou: Arakawa-san hates the flip.
Sho: it's not the flip.
Jun: In the conbination all of them had the same start and finish ne?
Itou: They do.
Aiba: All three are the same.
Itou: All three are the same.
Shizuka: The number of rotations is different.
Aiba: The number of rotations is different.
Itou: It was 3 rotations, 2 rotations, 2 rotations.
Sho: Alright~.
Nino: We're done~.
Aiba: Thinking time's over~! Who's going to answer? Leader, are you going to answer?
Ohno: yes!
Aiba: So what's the correct answer, what were these jumps?
Itou: Go ahead!
Ohno: Loop!
Aiba: Loop. You're okay with that? Final answer?
Jun: No, it could be the lutz.
Aiba: Which- which is it? Loop, lutz. There was two ne.
Itou: Leader!
Ohno: Lutz!
Itou: Eh, which??
[writing: Which is it?!]
Kanako: We all discussed it, we all discussed it ne.
Aiba: So what is it?
Ohno: It's the loop.
Aiba: It's the loop. What's the reason?
Ohno: Because it was loop-like. (writing)
Aiba: So you're saying there's no reason, none at all.
Itou: None ne~.
Aiba: Understood.
Itou: So 'loop' is everyone's answer.
Kanako: Yes.
Itou: Well then Arakawa-san, the answer if you please.
Shizuka: Yes.
Itou: So 'loop' is everyone's answer.
Kanako: Yes.
Itou: Well then Arakawa-san, the answer if you please.
Shizuka: Yes. That's incorrect. (writing)
[writing: Too bad]
Nino: Why??
Kazuyo: Why?
Aiba: it's incorrect.
Shizuka: Too bad.
Itou: That was too bad. The correct answer is?
Shizuka: Toe loop.
Itou: It's a toe loop.
[writing: A violent falling out]
Ohno: We didn't even see the toe.
Shizuka: The toe was there three times wasn't it. (writing)
Itou: Ohno-kun, she was pounding the ice with her toe. Isn't that right?
Ohno: When I said toe loop everyone said 'it ain't that'.
[writing: Leader completely vetoed]
[Announcer: Well then, let's watch Arakawa-san's jumps one more time. Did you get it everyone? She glides on her rioght foot and uses
the toe of her left foot to jump. And again, jump, jump.]
Aiba: Since you're incorrect we're confiscating the oden. Since it was already cooked, only Arakawa-san gets it~.
Itou: We'll get her to eat it. So by all means everyone, use what you've learned today to educate yourself when you watch it again.
Jun: The problem is that we learned lots of things but weren't able to answer in the end.
Aiba: That's it! What were you doing all day!
Poor Leader, no one listened to him and now none of them get to eat;P But I loved how Ohno would change his answers to whatever Jun said, that was so cute<3 And the way they kept putting their arms around each other^V^ But I have to say, even I suspected it was a toe loop...cause frankly it's the only one I could pick out;P Alright, enough of that, I hope next week's episode is more interesting...^^;
Plus, because I love it so much and it somehow seems fitting right now, a translation of Once Again<3

once again we move towards the future
row on, carve the emotions into your heart
you can still grab hold of it if you stretch out your hands
the dream you'd forgotten is right there
we were always gazing up at the sky, unable to fly
unable to do anything, without even a goal, back then we just kept on searching
puzzled, just passing time
the day will surely come when we reach
the other side of the today we fear
once again we move towards the future
row on, carve the emotions into your heart
you can still grab hold of it if you stretch out your hands
the dream you'd forgotten is right there
unable to see what was certain, asking questions every night
lunging forward unable to see around us, back then we ran on in a daze
the voice that was erased by the rain that began to fall
carve it into your heart so that you won't forget
the day will surely come when it will reach you
along with the welling up emotions
once again we'll run on towards the future
the dreams we've drawn are surely the way we feel
don't give up, if you're at the point of mourning it
the tomorrow you've come to believe in is already there
we'd begun to lose sight of it
"the wishfully begun dream we created", heading before it once again
even the anxiety we held back then
it won't be in vain, we were waiting, I mean...
to be able to fly higher we need to crouch lower down
so now please, a chance once again
that's right, time and time again and again
once again we move towards the future
row on, carve the emotions into your heart
you can still grab hold of it if you stretch out your hands
the dream you'd forgotten is right there
stand up! once again we'll run on towards the future
the dreams we've drawn are surely the way we feel
don't give up, if you're at the point of mourning it
the tomorrow you've come to believe in is already there
I have to admit somehow this song never came up the first time I listened to Dream A Live...so when it popped up on my playlist I was like 'what is this awesome song??'^^; Since then it's been on almost constant repeat when it pops up. That feeling of moving forward from despair, despite the seemingly insurmountable obstacles and uncertainty, is exactly what I've been clinging too this whole year. Without that kind of determination and blind faith I'd never have made it this far, and I believe that as long as I have it I can keep going, perhaps forever, so I wrap myself tightly in it, like a cloak against the rain, and push onwards. I hope Ohno and Arashi will do the same, and move past this rough spot to an even brighter future. That's my hope.
On a side note, I was tagged by
laurachan2 so I need to post a screen-cap of my desktop...
No Arashi^^; This is actually a picture of sakura that my dear friend
lovablemaachan took, I find it so happy and soothing to look at^^ I used to have a MatsuJun wallpaper made by the talented
yuckie-chan but then I got a bf and thought it might be awkward if he saw that...so sakura it became;) Turns out I needn't have bothered, he never even came over, and it's been months since we broke up but it hadn't occurred to me to change it. But I think I'm ready for another Jun or Arashi wallie:) Unfortunately I'm neither extraordinarily gifted in photoshop nor overwhlemed with free time, so unless I find something I'm really enamoured of it may be awhile...^^; If anyone wants to submit one I'd be very grateful:) I guess I need to tag people too, I think
lovablemaachan,
yuckie-chan and
apple1881=)
Anyways, have a great week everyone, let's keep hoping this scandal will blow over like a bad dream. Until then, one more time...
