Midterm week. Most teachers have been spending their time planning out and giving their midterms and grading them. I had my drama midterms last week so that is done. X-mas ended up well. Ben and I were planning to drive up over two days, but with the crazy snow in Oregon, my dad called on a Friday and said we wouldn't make it, so we flew up before the worst part of the storm hit. I feel like I don't have much time to do the things I want anymore. I spend all my time working out what I will teach, teaching what I am teaching, deciding what to improve of my teaching and then preparing for the next day of teaching. My week is just killing me. I had a dress rehearsal yesterday and another today after school; running through the entire holiday program that goes up Thursday this week. I am not completely happy with the one act play, but I can't spend time with that, since I and my cast have to set up the dance/band sets right after we are done in rehearsal. ( Read more... )

Here's to a nice long weekend. Still have lots to do, but more time to do it. I have a school dance next week I have to buy stuff for, set pieces to buy for show in 2 weeks, lesson plans to prep, turkey and pie to make, friends to bribe into hanging out, quizzes/tests to write up, & a spring play to prep auditions for in 3 weeks.

Seems like I have quite the busy weekend planed. On Friday I am going to go see the new Twilight movie, on Saturday morning I have the first book club meeting to go to, then up to Oakland we will drive to see Blake/Corinne and go to Max's improv show and crash with the Blake/Corinne, Sunday we will come back down and in the afternoon I have a play ( Read more... )

I hope everyone has great plans for this Samhain. I am going to a local play this evening and this weekend Ben and I are thinking about going up to the new aquarium in San Francisco.
