i knew the show was stupid, but this just takes the cake:BOSTON - Nine blinking electronic devices planted at bridges and other spots in Boston threw a scare into the city Wednesday in what turned out to be a marketing campaign for a late-night cable cartoon. Those lousy mooninites would shut down Boston

And I used to think achewood was pointless until I read one full story arc (like you don't need to read the full thing from the beginning to like it, you know). I think that his daily comics are just too short to get into the world, sort of like how if you only read one of the Wednesday-published Calvin and Hobbes strips back in the day you would not realize at all that it was the greatest cartoon ever.

and, of course, you're right. C&H is easily one of the best comic strips of the generation, if not the century

Achewood is true brilliance. I've never seen such sustained subtle use of language, punctuation, tone, and understanding of the (californian) social world. Not that I've been to california, but you can just tell ( ... )
