I need an explanation

I was told earlier tonight that I have "friendly but piercing eyes." What does 'piercing' mean in relation to a person's eyes?

It must mean that you are evil and people are starting to notice the daggers that shoot out of your eyes...oh wait, maybe thats me...

I think what they mean is that your eyes are...engaging. It's too early to explain, I don't even know why I tried this early in the morning...Whatever.

Piercing usually refers to someone feeling that you can "see into their soul" per se. Typically goes more for bllue-ish eye shades than anything else, not sure why, really.
