Incident: Helicopter theft and shootdown
When: 0600 hours, January the 14th
Police response (if any): Jack Bauer and Hans von Hammer

What happened?: A helicopter was stolen from the 34th East Street heliport. Native police units on the scene requested air support for the pursuit. Bauer and von Hammer were conducting an aerial exercise at the time, and responded. Suspect came to a halt when ordered, but did not obey orders to land. Bauer placed his craft in the suspect's path, at which point the suspect attempted to ram him. Hans von Hammer then disabled the stolen helicopter with precision cannon fire. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody after a safe landing.
Consequences: One suspect is in custody, identified as Dunstin West. The suspect has no prior criminal record and the motive for the theft remains unknown. A psychiatric evaluation is pending. The stolen helicopter ( ... )
