wow cyn, good for you! i'm glad you're taking concrete steps to save the world :) it's actually really hard to maintain these habits if you live in an area where people don't really care. is hawaii pretty environmentally friendly? for example, in berkeley, it was SO easy to find a place to recycle things, there was organic food everywhere and styrofoam is outlawed

wow, is it really like that in berkeley? that's awesome. if guam were even just a wee bit environmental friendly, i would so take advantage of it. but man, it's like no one cares here. i'm not even sure if we still do those coastal cleanups. those things were great. so sad. ordot dump was supposed to be closed down like ten years ago but we still use it. sad sad sad. idk. i used to think ... if only the whole world just recycled or ... if only recycling was law. but i know it ain't that easy. i really can't say because i honestly don't know how the government works. i guess i just do what i can. then again, what i do end up doing, is probably the least of what i can do if you know what i mean. i'm bad.

yes, hawaii is super environmental, we even have extra bottling sales tax for recycling reimbursement and we have recycling fairs all the time..

hahaha i too am ashamed to tell people to recycle and i have held onto so much paper because i don't want to throw it away and i'm too lazy to bring it somewhere to recycle.. i even write notes on the back of printed paper just to save paper.. (i have so much because in class, we need to print everything over and over again)

i have to confess i still haven't found a volunteer program to volunteer but it will happen.. i have posted up articles from the magazine on my wall to remind myself of my lofty goals..

another confesssion: i had to go to walmart to return some work shoes (that my roommate bought me because his dog tore up my old ones) and i had to go again the next day for a scavenger hunt.. i was disgusted with myself.. i had to scrub extra hard in the shower to get the soul-sucking scent off me.. hhahahaahhahah

wow cyn! you're actually making me think now how do i look at things. i'm proud of you.. I'm not sure what to say though. lol.. i do know i'm picky in buying stuff, i normally go for what's a quality brand versus the cheaper one.. i hate western family! haha.. and of course when it has that recycled logo i go for it too.. the feeling of i'm doin a little bit of contribution to the world even though it's tiny.. but volunteer? i'm amazed by you. i wish i had your motivation. love you cyn!

all the more power to you cyn! :) it's so so very hard to be worldly ... i can't even get myself to go to church on sundays, what more volunteer. *sigh* but i remember all those volunteer work we did in high school. i miss that feeling you get after helping out ... idk how to describe it. it's just a good feeling. i'm sure you can recall. but dude, good luck! keep us posted. :) do you have an idea of what area you might be volunteering in?

dude now i feel like some bitch to the planet lol...i hate paper; i scan everything and throw it away. i, like cathy, hate western family; i rather make my mom buy my food (cuz im a free loader like that); i love to stroll around in my car for no good reason; and sometimes (ok alot) i litter...come to guam and tell me im a horrible person...and then we can go out and catch up on other things :D
