I just watched this and kept crying. It's not even the best rendition of the song, but the fact that she's performing this live now...Ohhh, and I'm missing it. Still I Can't Be Still is number one on the list of "Albums That Changed Val's Life," and this song was one of the most important in that role. Oh, I'd been hoping I'd hear this one live ( Read more... )

She rocked the shit out of that tonight... She also sang this new song that she "wrote at soundcheck" called Spiraling, except unlike her usual gag, I can't actually find proof so far that this song is a cover... I think maybe it's actually hers (and I'm positive tonight was the first time she sang it). It was one of the more enjoyable shows that she's done in the past year and a half because she only sang 4 songs from I Stand. The rest were all old or covers (or apparently brand new).

Randomly, Rosie was there... I think they live in Nyack, though, so perhaps it's not so random after all.

Sadly no, the only one that has shown up this far is one for spiraling, which I haven't listened to yet to know if it's any good or not...

Thank you. The song sounds pretty nice...if she wrote it, it's something entirely different from anything she's written before. It sounds like it could be a song Sting wrote, hah. I think I like the verses better than the chorus-y part.
