Thank you to kyrakitty and mei_yanohi for very good words of advice. At the time, my best friend was telling me all the negatives about going back to school to get my teaching degree in Special Ed. and it just put me in a funk. I started thinking I shouldn't do it. But I've decided I really want to do it. And I will be happy...in a mountain of debt...but happy. :D ( Read more... )

Well, from her perspective, the debt I apparently won't be able to crawl out from under and the school her father works at has started to fire their special ed teachers. So, by the time I get out of school, there will be absolutely no job for me. There always will be a job for me somewhere, but she doesn't believe me. Then again, she believes the kids I work with can't be helped. I just have to keep remembering to take some of the things she says with a grain of salt.
