It's a super-duper Icon Meme!

Here's the three she picked:

This is art from the 2007 Rush tour, for the band's new record "Snakes & Arrows." It depicts an oroubouros snake, and a smaller snake swimming to a delta in a clear sex-analogue image very much in the spirit of the band's 1993 Counterparts album. I like its vaguely kanji feel--and thought it was cool that this was the primary image chosen to adorn the drum shells of Rush drummer Neal Peart. It was designed by Hugh Syme, the band's longstanding illustrator.

This is Babo from the Ugly Dolls, posing on the box of his very own (imaginary) breakfast cereal, Babo-Ohs. Extra tasty! Emily and I collect the UglyDolls and I am always on the lookout to snag a nice icon or two. Art by Ugly Dolls co-creator David Horvath.

This image is from the album cover of "Sunrise on the Sufferbus", by occasional rock band the Masters of Reality. "Sunrise", which featured guest drumming from Ginger Baker, is a classic 90s rock album that should be in every collection. The image is most likely inspired by two songs, "Rabbit One" and "Bicycle."

OK. So:

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick three of your icons.

2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.

3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.

4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

Easy and fun to do!
