This summer is the first time I've ever worked as a waitress, and honestly, its not been that bad. On a good shift, when I'm making decent money and we aren't seriously weeded or anything, it can be sort of fun, even. I've had some really good shifts--nights where I walk out after a 4 or 5 hour shift with $90 something bucks and a smile on my face

Finally: Who's the first person who waits on everyone in their entire life? Their mama. If you want better money, who do you have to be? Their mama.
Therefore - nothing is ever the party's fault and nothing is ever a problem. "Oh, honey, your holy terror of a five year old is smashing biscuits and jam and butter into the table, all over the floor, and all over themselves? It's no trouble, lemmie go get a towel and I'll have that cleaned right up."
Oh. And smile. And wear pigtails.
