I'm sorry to hear you so glum...why can't you guys make a visit back? Is it the cash factor? Or school/work is too busy? I just think it would be really good for you if you could plan a visit back sometime in the near future- doesn't necessarily need to be the holidays- could be after- but it sounds like you need to get out of town- like- yesterday.

As for your mom- give her a call! I'm sure she would love to hear from you and you'll feel better after you talk to her. I feel like there has to be an answer here--there has to be a way to make it work.

The problem with getting out of town is that I'm starting a new job soon, and so getting time off is nigh-impossible. We're so far away now that it's not like we can drive home for the weekend, so we have to prepare time. Sucks.

Don't worry, I'm just homesick. It happens pretty regularly.
