when you are in the momment of acting on impulse and joining in on the fun, you don't realize how much you are hurting yourself and then when you start to come down and act like a bitch (so i've heard) I just can't believe that it wouldn't sink in that it's so pointless and in the end, the high is not worth it. it's too bad that it gets to such great people and I hope that they crawl out of the phase soon.
