I know what you mean about the dissolution perhaps straining of older friendships. I've tried many times, and again in the past few days, to rekindle some of the friendships that were so important to me. (Not to imply that they aren't anymore. They're still quite a large part of who I am and how I got here, even if it feels a bit one sided and presses upon my horrid fear of rejection.) I can't help but wonder what I've said or done, if things are more than just time pulling me further away. Is it me pushing them away, or just neglecting? Is it growing apart, or just growing up? Have I changed? Have they? Have I hurt their feelings or do they feel betrayed? Am I really so difficult to communicate with that it's easier to ignore me? Am I awkward to talk to? Are they too busy for me? Am I too busy for them? Would it be more merciful in the long run not to inflict my friendship attempts on them, or am I just making excuses to avoid people important to me implying that it's too late they'd just rather not be close to me again. i know i am distanced a lot.. i mean do my lj friends (and other friends) really wanna keep hearing my weird stories about the calls I get at work? It prolly gets old.. and how many care that I am interested in learning some new craft like 'braiding/weaving' of cloth for rugs/blankies/curtains' and... jessas tatting or soapmaking, johnny having fun shooting bbs at a target i got him.. or the latest book i am reading or the group i found and like though everyone else sees it as old hat

And yeah, I think I'm boring too. S'why I almost never post here, and really have little to nothing to say in general.
