I signed up last week for Holly Lisle's writing course. I used the money I got from my birthday to get a workable laptop last week (went with something relatively cheap) so I'd have a platform for writing and somewhere to house such things, so it seemed like a good investment to get a course to provide some structure for the efforts. The first Transformers movie was "ok" but that's about it. Some of the dialog was pretty sad, I mean Optimus Prime saying "My Bad" /sigh

Sounds like I'll be waiting for it to hit the $5 movie club price before I go and see it. I haven't heard many people give it that favorable of reviews.

As for hotels, not many ways to find out about the jacuzzi tubs or other extras that I've found. I would say that you might try looking for a B&B in the area you want, they do have jacuzzi tubs more often than not, and in my experience, many times they are on par with the hotel prices. Or close enough that things like the breakfasts and such make up for the differences.

There were bits of the story that made me cringe. Having said that, I have to admit there were some interesting nods to the previous Transformers: The Movie incarnation. Wheelie is one, the matrix of leadership is another. I did think there was some interesting stuff going on.

I enjoyed the movie, I just wasn't floored by it. I was entertained, though, and in the end I guess that's really what we're looking for from movies, right? ;)

It's going ok so far, I need to work through the second week's lesson, I've been putting it off since we had our vacation getaway over the weekend and didn't have much time to work on it then after all. Didn't bring it in today because I wasn't feeling up to it this morning, though now I kinda wish I had. Tomorrow, I guess :)
