Woo hoo!  I'm back in writerverse!  Life begins again!  To celebrate, here's a little double-Haiku inspired by this crazy Minnesota winter that just will not end. Seriously, Minnesota, it's April. A. pril.

On Thursday it was too warm for freezing rain, but too cold for snow, so what we got was tiny ice balls. Have you ever unzipped a beanbag chair and seen all the gazillions of tiny Styrofoam pellets that make up the stuffing of one of those things? Well the entire area looked like God had emptied his God-sized beanbag chair over us.

The nice thing about these events in April and in May (yes, we sometimes get them in May, which is why experienced Vermont gardeners never set out tomato plants before Memorial Day weekend) is that no shoveling or scooping is required. Just wait, and the next day's sun will take care of the problem for you.

Yay for taking time for yourself! You go girl!

Yeah, I'm used to northern April, and I also have the expectation that it will snow from time to time - but I count heavily on that next-day sunshine to make things go away and make up for it! Last week we actually had a 2 day snow storm that dropped over 6 inches of snow, and then it just kept snowing and snowing and snowing. We didn't get too much more accumulation - something like a half inch to an inch per day. It's just flat-out like winter - no sign of spring. It just finally turned to ice-balls over the weekend and now we're getting lovely "wintry mix." *sigh* But writing my little poem about icicles was cathartic, at least :)

I really like your description of how it looked like God emptying his God-sized beanbag over you - lol!
